the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts [the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts] (also the Lincoln Center)
a group of buildings that include theatres and concert halls in New York, west of ↑Central Park and ↑Broadway. They were built at various times between 1959 and 1991. The Center is the home of the ↑Metropolitan Opera, the ↑New York Philharmonic and the ↑Juilliard School of Music, as well as other organizations.
